The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Hua tests Liddell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Charlie Liddell has been cut.
Liddell listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Mauricio Hua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hua walks into a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hua misses with the combination.
Hua goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Liddell lands a nice looking body shot.
Liddell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hua.
Liddell works Hua's body with a nice hook.
Liddell connects with a body shot.
Hua is breathing heavily.
Hua dodges the punch combination from Liddell.
Liddell is looking to score with low kicks.
Liddell sends Hua crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Liddell is motioning to the referee to let Hua up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Hua is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Liddell has cracked Hua with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Liddell lands another huge swinging hook and Hua tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Hua, before Liddell can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Charlie Liddell!
