Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Doze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doze's entrance music is "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Doze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Rand!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doze tries to land a leg kick but Rand saw it coming and moves away.
Doze blocks a head kick by Rand.
Doze darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Doze wants to control but Rand is keeping him busy.
Doze tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rand knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Rand regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Doze.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doze gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Doze takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Rand lands with a slapping head kick.
Doze is rocked!
Rand with a lazy takedown attempt
and Doze counters with a head kick.
Oh Doze is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rand is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rand showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Doze.
Doze seems to have got his legs back now.
Rand is still on wobbly legs! Can Doze finish him?
Rand shoots and misses
and Doze moves into the clinch.
Rand seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Doze prevents the takedown attempt.
Mark Doze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Rand.
Doze wants to break free but Rand has control.
Doze tries to break the clinch but Rand is controlling the position.
Doze wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Doze breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rand misses with a double jab.
Rand swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Doze counters with a head kick that drops Rand!
Rand trying to keep a closed guard but Doze is proving a slippery customer.
Doze trying to control the position from guard on top but Rand is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Doze has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rand looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Doze decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rand, up you get!
Doze tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rand paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doze misses with a body shot.
Doze clinches with his opponent.
Doze breaks the clinch.
Doze throws a low kick but Rand avoids it.
Doze tries to clinch there but Rand circles away.
Rand fails with the takedown
and Doze counters with a good low kick that Rand was not able to check.
Rand looks gassed!
Rand closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Doze is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Doze is staying active underneath Rand, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Doze is looking to control Rand's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Doze avoid being mounted?
Doze kicks Rand off and gets back to his feet.
Rand wants to clinch
and Doze counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rand's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Doze postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Doze postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Doze throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Doze in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Doze wants to pass the guard but Rand is keeping the position.
Rand has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Doze off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Rand doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Doze counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rand won't be happy with that.
Doze decides to stand back up. Doze steps back and let's Rand get back to his feet.
Rand has his takedown stuffed
and Doze counters with a left and a right that stings Rand.
Nice sprawl there from Doze as Rand shoots in.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rand fails with the takedown
and Doze counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doze loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rand scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Doze land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Doze stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Doze!
