Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodg Padacteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roc comes into the arena with Hey Man, Nice Shot blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Roc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rodg Padacteri!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roc shoots in for a takedown but Padacteri shows good takedown defense.
Padacteri throws a series of punches but Roc moves out of range.

Padacteri rushes Roc and presses him up against the cage.
Roc tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Padacteri lands an uppercut.
Knees to the body from Padacteri.
Roc tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Padacteri just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Roc. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Padacteri has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Roc clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Roc tries to escape but Padacteri has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Padacteri has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Roc has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Roc is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Padacteri pulls his head out easily.
Padacteri thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Roc wants to control but Padacteri is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Padacteri working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Roc has his foot on Padacteri's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Padacteri works his way back into a safe position though.

Roc escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Padacteri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Padacteri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roc swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Padacteri stands and throws Roc's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Roc avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Padacteri.
Roc is looking for a sweep.
Padacteri creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Roc sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Padacteri is nestled in close to Roc, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Padacteri sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodg Padacteri dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Padacteri rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roc moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roc shoots in but Padacteri avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Roc tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Padacteri swivels and escapes.

Roc closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Roc lands in his opponent's guard.

Roc drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roc jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well Padacteri has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
