The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hetfield circles away.
Hetfield throws a sloppy head kick and Rage moves out of range easily.
Hetfield tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rage paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rage swinging wildly here.
Rage fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Hetfield moves into the clinch.

Hetfield breaks the clinch.
Rage ducks right into an uppercut from Hetfield.
No luck for Hetfield with that takedown attempt.
Rage is looking to clinch.

Hetfield shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rage napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hetfield is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rage is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rage is trying to get back to half guard.
Hetfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rage keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hetfield drops Rage with a right and a left! Hetfield comes rushing in but Rage regains his composure and manages to keep Hetfield in guard.

Rage is rocked!

It looks like Trevor Rage has been cut.

Hetfield postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Hetfield lands a couple of digs.

Hetfield gets to his feet - Rage follows without any prompting.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Hetfield throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Rage is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
