Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Davis Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Guapo Obispo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black avoids the head kick by Obispo.
Nice body punch from Black.
Obispo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Black tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Obispo is able to avoid easily.
Black leaves Obispo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Black lands with a thumping leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Obispo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Black avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Obispo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Black misses with a two punch combination.
Black scores with a nice right hand.
Obispo moves forwards but Black connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Obispo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Black lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Obispo at a distance.
Black does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Obispo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Davis Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guapo Obispo.
Obispo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Obispo persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing.
A nice combination there by Black.
Guapo Obispo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Black.
It looks like Guapo Obispo has been cut.
Obispo looks gassed!
Black looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Black looks for the body kick but Obispo saw that one coming.
Good standup being displayed there by Black as he connects with a hook.
Obispo has a takedown stuffed.
Black scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Black digs a good body shot into Obispo's ribs.
Black scores with a jab. Obispo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Black Rushes Obispo and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Obispo is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Black Piles on the pressure and Obispo crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
