Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Duncan Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sid Sydney!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers misses with the combination.
Sydney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rogers sprawls well. Rogers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sydney gets slowly back to his feet.
No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rogers throws a hook but Sydney blocks it.
Rogers jabs at Sydney's body.

Sydney closes the distance and clinches.

Rogers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sydney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rogers pinned against the cage. Rogers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rogers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rogers stuffs the takedown.
Duncan Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sid Sydney.

Rogers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sydney!

Rogers is working for a guillotine from mount but Sydney frees his head quite easily.

Poor strikes thrown by Rogers there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Rogers throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Sydney wants to control but Rogers is having none of it.

Sydney wants to hold on but Rogers pushes him away.
Sydney can't escape the position.
Rogers fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rogers throws some wild stikes that Sydney manages to avoid easily.

Rogers thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Rogers throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sydney because Rogers loaded up on that one.
Sydney regains half guard.
Sydney gets full guard.
Rogers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Rogers working some strikes from top position.
Sydney avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Rogers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rogers throws a strike but Sydney rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rogers tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rogers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sydney manages to get himself to full guard.
Sydney has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rogers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rogers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rogers throws a strike but Sydney rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Rogers controls Sydney momentarily but Sydney frees himself.
Sydney won't allow Rogers to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duncan Rogers dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Sydney moves into range and clinches up with Rogers.
Sydney jumps guard but Rogers stands there with Sydney around his waist. Sydney gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sydney keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rogers's efforts to push away.

Rogers manages to break the clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Rogers.
Rogers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sydney was well out of range. Poor timing from Rogers.
Duncan Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers misses with a takedown
and Sydney counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Duncan Rogers has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sydney tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rogers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rogers misses with a body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rogers darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sydney takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sydney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogers's waist but Rogers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sydney off to one side.
Rogers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sydney.
Duncan Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rogers scores with a body shot.
Sydney is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sydney counters with a thumping low kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Rogers misses the target.
Rogers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Rogers cracks Sydney with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rogers has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sydney to stand back up!


Sydney is rocked!


It looks like Sid Sydney has been cut.
Rogers lands with a right and another and another! Sydney is in big trouble! Rogers lands again and this time it's lights out for Sydney! A quality knockout there for Rogers.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Duncan Rogers!
