Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hood circles away.

Hood moves into the clinch successfully.
Hood with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Jeff Monson has been cut.

Hood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Monson tries to pull guard but Hood holds him up against the cage and eventually Monson drops back down to his feet.

Hood forces Monson back against the cage and clinches.

Monson is pressed against the cage. Hood pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Monson! Two more big strikes from Hood and Monson crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
