The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reckless blocks a head kick by Kabanov.
Kabanov throws the kick towards the body but Reckless avoids it.
Kabanov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kabanov wants it to stay on the feet.
Reckless swats away the attempt to clinch by Kabanov.
Kabanov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reckless paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Reckless closes the distance and clinches up with Kabanov, looking for a takedown. Reckless pushes Kabanov against the cage but Kabanov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kabanov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Reckless is out of range.

Quinton Kabanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomas Reckless.
Reckless shoots in looking for a takedown. Kabanov tries to sprawl out of it but Reckless keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kabanov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kabanov looks to land a combination but Reckless avoids it well.

Reckless walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kabanov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kabanov is looking to take a break and control but Reckless is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reckless tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kabanov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kabanov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kabanov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reckless does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kabanov is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Reckless is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
