Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlad Krukiov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Softy McSofterson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krukiov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Krukiov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Krukiov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McSofterson defending well though.

Krukiov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Krukiov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
McSofterson wants to get back to full guard but Krukiov has mounted him!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Krukiov working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Krukiov trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McSofterson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Krukiov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McSofterson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McSofterson and Krukiov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Krukiov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McSofterson has escaped the position, nice work there.
McSofterson is trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Krukiov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Krukiov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Krukiov tries for a kimura but McSofterson is defending well.
Krukiov is breathing heavily.

Krukiov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McSofterson, who protects the arm well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McSofterson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Krukiov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krukiov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McSofterson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Krukiov but great work by McSofterson.
Krukiov is trying to work for a sweep but McSofterson has mounted him!
McSofterson wants to get back to his feet but Krukiov is holding on tight.

McSofterson stands up from mount. Strange move.
Krukiov shoots in for a takedown but McSofterson shows good takedown defense.

McSofterson has Krukiov up against the cage in a clinch.
McSofterson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

McSofterson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from McSofterson. Krukiov shrugs it off though.
McSofterson tests Krukiov's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McSofterson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A jab lands there for McSofterson.
Krukiov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Krukiov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McSofterson.
Krukiov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McSofterson tries to avoid it but Krukiov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McSofterson to the ground. McSofterson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vlad Krukiov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McSofterson looks to throw the jab but Krukiov is out of range.
Softy McSofterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McSofterson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
McSofterson scores with a one two! Krukiov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

McSofterson rushes Krukiov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Softy McSofterson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McSofterson scores with a nice right hand.
Krukiov shoots in looking for a takedown. McSofterson tries to sprawl out of it but Krukiov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McSofterson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Krukiov has a takedown stuffed.
McSofterson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Krukiov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Krukiov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


Krukiov is rocked!
Krukiov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oh Krukiov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McSofterson misses with an uppercut.
McSofterson loads up on a big right hand but Krukiov slips the punch.
Krukiov seems to have got his legs back now.
Krukiov misses with a takedown attempt - McSofterson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vlad Krukiov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krukiov on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McSofterson throws a combination. Krukiov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Krukiov walks straight into a right hand from McSofterson - that's dropped him! McSofterson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Krukiov from any more punishment! Krukiov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Softy McSofterson!
