Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The WoodTik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Bell!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
WoodTik doesn't manage to clinch there - Bell circles away.

WoodTik shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bell is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
WoodTik misses with a head shot.
Bell tries to hold on but WoodTik pushes him away.
WoodTik lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bell hang on?
Bell is looking to improve his position but WoodTik isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

WoodTik is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Bell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
WoodTik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bell avoids it really well and circles away.
Bell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and WoodTik counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bell won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!

WoodTik stands up and beckons Bell to his feet.

and WoodTik decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bell's guard.
Bell looks gassed!

WoodTik thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. WoodTik defends it easily.

WoodTik gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

WoodTik looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Bell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. WoodTik is aware though and is defending well.
WoodTik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

WoodTik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and WoodTik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bell pushes a forearm under WoodTik's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, WoodTik is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carl Bell!
