The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ward tries to free his leg and advance position but white is retaining full guard.
Ward is pushing down on white's leg trying to pass to half guard. white is fighting to maintain full guard but Ward has managed to sneak the leg through.
white really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ward. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ward is trying for a kimura here. white looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Ward wins by kimura!
