The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toropainen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Toropainen moves into full mount!
Vantinnen wants to get back to his feet.
Toropainen tries to control but Vantinnen wriggling away.

Toropainen has control of Vantinnen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vantinnen regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Toropainen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vantinnen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vantinnen and Toropainen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vantinnen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Toropainen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Toropainen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vantinnen has escaped the position, nice work there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Toropainen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Toropainen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vantinnen, who protects the arm well.
Toropainen is looking to take a break and control but Vantinnen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Toropainen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vantinnen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Toropainen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vantinnen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Toropainen lets go of the hold and Vantinnen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
