Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ruth shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bader blocks a head kick by Ruth.
Bader takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Ruth is breathing heavily.
Ruth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bader tries to avoid it but Ruth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bader to the ground. Bader escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bader shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bader showed some decent athleticism there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Bader counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ruth working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bader doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bader manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bader is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bader wants to get up but he can't break Ruth's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
No luck for Ruth with that takedown attempt.

and Bader makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Bader wants to free his trapped foot but Ruth is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bader is landing with some decent strikes but Ruth is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ruth is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bader has hold of Ruth's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ruth manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bader cracks Ruth with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ruth is squirming around, avoiding Bader's attempts to control the action.
Bader lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bader has control of Ruth's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ruth regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bader wants to control the pace but Ruth is squirming around nicely.
Bader takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bader pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bader goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ruth is on top in guard.

Taylor Bader comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bader winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
