Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Serguei Shirokov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendan Solomon!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon throws a shot from downtown. Shirokov moves away and avoids it.
Solomon looks for a takedown but Shirokov sprawls well.
Shirokov misses with a straight right.
Shirokov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Solomon.
Solomon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shirokov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shirokov clobbers Solomon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Shirokov throws a body punch but Solomon moves out of range.
Shirokov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Brendan Solomon has been cut.
A punch combination from Solomon misses.
Shirokov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Solomon moves away.
Solomon misses with a takedown attempt - Shirokov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shirokov lands a left and a right that send Solomon crashing to the mat, dazed. Shirokov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Solomon is rocked!
Shirokov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Serguei Shirokov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Solomon looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shirokov misses with the combination.
Solomon throws a right and a left that Shirokov avoids nicely.
Shirokov just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Shirokov. No joy for Solomon on that attempt.
Serguei Shirokov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendan Solomon.
Shirokov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Solomon at a distance.
Shirokov connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Solomon tumbling to the canvas! Shirokov pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Solomon was done - good stoppage!
