The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beetlejuice gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Penn tries to break the clinch but Beetlejuice is controlling the position.
Penn has had enough of the clinch but Beetlejuice keeps him there for the moment.

Beetlejuice successfully pulls guard.
Penn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Beetlejuice is keeping the position for now.

Beetlejuice working for a triangle but Penn defends it easily.
Beetlejuice controls Penn momentarily but Penn frees himself.
Beetlejuice is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Penn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beetlejuice on the ground.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Beetlejuice has the hooks in. Penn is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Let's hope that Beetlejuice has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Beetlejuice had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Penn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Beetlejuice Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Penn's back instead.
Penn tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Penn looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Beetlejuice! Submission of the night perhaps?
