Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dhe Orele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ray Den!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orele connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Den momentarily.
Orele connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Orele bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Den's head backwards.
Nice jab there from Orele.
Den gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Orele darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nice shot lands for Orele.
Some wild striking there from Orele.
Den should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Den finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Orele connects with a crisp jab.
Orele lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Orele throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A nice combination there by Orele.

Den throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Orele was covering up waiting for the punch and Den finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Den content to stall in guard here.
Den trying to control the position from guard on top but Orele is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Den pushing down on Orele's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Den not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Orele wants to stand back up but Den manages to pass into side control.
Orele knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Den on the ground.
Orele is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Den asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Den decides to stand back up.

Den ducks right into an uppercut from Orele.
Orele really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Orele connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Orele scores with a shot to the body.
Orele is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Den misses with a body punch
and Orele counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Den takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dhe Orele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Den shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Den showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Den sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Den prevents Orele from standing back up.

Den content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Orele is trying to stand up here but Den is controlling him well.
Den not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Orele bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Den drops his hands momentarily and Orele takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Den has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Orele lands an overhand right.

Orele takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Den walks into a stiff left hand from Orele.
Orele is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Den takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Den fails with a takedown attempt.
Den looks gassed!
Orele scores with a crisp jab that stopped Den in his tracks.
Den drops his hands momentarily and Orele takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Den walks into a left hand.
Orele works the jab nicely.
Den gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Orele.
Orele lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Den takes a jab right on the kisser.
Orele takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Den has a takedown stuffed.
Orele scores with the left hand. Den knows he should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dhe Orele dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Orele fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Den on the side of the head.
Orele tests Den's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Orele connects with a crisp jab.
Orele paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Orele connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Orele is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Den takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Den drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Orele throws a shot to the body.
Orele lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Den backs up against the cage.
Den takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Orele works over Den's head and body with a nice combination.
Orele lands with an overhand left.


Den is rocked!
Orele connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Den momentarily.
Den is still on wobbly legs! Can Orele finish him?
Dhe Orele is winning the standup battle so far.
Den with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Orele to score with a decent uppercut.
Orele stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ray Den is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Orele throws a shot from downtown. Den moves away and avoids it.
Den is breathing heavily.
Orele tests Den's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Den takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Orele lands a jab to the nose.
Orele drops Den with a straight right hand, right on the button! Orele follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
