Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremiah Sainclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erikson comes to the cage accompanied by Merle Haggard - Mama Tried. Jeremiah Sainclair told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sainclair shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sainclair shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Erikson pinned against the cage. Erikson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A combination from Erikson does no damage.
Sainclair blocks a head kick by Erikson.
Sainclair looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Erikson is fending him off so far but Sainclair persists. Nope, Erikson circles away and we're back to standing.
Jonas Erikson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremiah Sainclair.
Erikson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Erikson throws a right hand that Sainclair ducks under and follows up with a left that Sainclair also avoids with ease.

Sainclair shoots in but no luck this time.

Erikson scores with a sloppy right hand. Sainclair should have avoided that one.

Sainclair moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Erikson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sainclair moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sainclair is trying desperately to land a takedown but Erikson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sainclair.
Erikson lands a big head kick that sends Sainclair tumbling to the mat! Erikson takes a step backwards and waves Sainclair back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Jeremiah Sainclair has been cut.
A punch combination from Erikson misses.
Erikson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sainclair avoids the head kick by Erikson.

Sainclair shoots in for a takedown but Erikson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sainclair changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Erikson tries to avoid it but Sainclair manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Erikson to the ground. Erikson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Erikson leaves Sainclair with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Erikson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Erikson duly obliges.
Sainclair tries for a takedown but Erikson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sainclair closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Erikson did well to prevent Sainclair getting side control.
Sainclair has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Erikson defend it? Sainclair steps over the head and cranks it - Erikson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sainclair!
