Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Archie Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Koo Von!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von fails with the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Von.
Moore fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Moore displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Von.
Archie Moore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koo Von.
Moore lands a left and a right that send Von crashing to the mat, dazed. Moore thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Koo Von has been cut.
Moore moves into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Moore escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Von loads up on a big right hand but Moore slips the punch.
Moore tries to clinch there but Von circles away.
Von should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Moore cracks Von with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Moore has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Von to stand back up!
Von is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Moore tries to bum rush Von with a series of wild strikes but Von uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Von closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moore did well to prevent Von getting side control.
Von wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moore keeps working.
Moore pushes Von off looking to stand but Von dives back in and keeps control.
Von is trying to control the action in half guard but Moore is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Moore wants to get back to his feet.
Von passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Von wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moore keeps working.
Von working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Von looks gassed!
Moore tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Moore wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Von quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Von but it's paid off an Moore is forced to tap! Nice work by Von.
