Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between dominickoy machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). machida comes to the cage accompanied by the game. Bruno Ferro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Ferro.

machida shoots in and bounces Ferro off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. machida defends it easily.
machida tries to free his leg and advance position but Ferro is retaining full guard.

Ferro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ferro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but machida can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

machida drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and machida jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ferro is looking for a sweep. machida is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ferro sneaks back into half guard.

machida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

machida passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ferro!
Ferro tries to reverse the position but machida maintains control.

and machida counters with a shoot takedown. Ferro fights it but they end up in guard.

Ferro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. machida doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ferro is tightening it up a little... machida has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! machida reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! machida taps out! nice BJJ there by Ferro!
