The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubim fails to land with a series of punches.
Souza slips a jab and a cross from Rubim.
Rubim throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Souza lands with a shot to the body.
Rubim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Souza misses with the combination.
Rubim falls off balance throwing a combination
and Souza counters with a left to the body.
Rubim is breathing heavily.
Rubim throws a nice looking combination but Souza bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Souza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Souza looks for a takedown but Rubim sprawls well.
Rubim misses with a double jab
and Souza counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rubim throws a right and a left that Souza avoids nicely.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Souza has cracked Rubim with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Souza lands another huge swinging hook and Rubim tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Rubim, before Souza can land any more shots!
