Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cal Tennant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cal Tennant had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cal Tennant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Maximus Alkofer!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alkofer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tennant pinned against the cage. Tennant gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tennant instigates a clinch.

Alkofer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Tennant is looking to take a break and control but Alkofer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tennant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Maximus Alkofer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Tennant decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alkofer's guard.
Tennant is looking to advance position but Alkofer has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Alkofer jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tennant is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tennant and Alkofer has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Tennant sneaks out the side door and pushes Alkofer away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Alkofer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tennant is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
