Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Hyabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Farley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryu Hyabusa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryu Hyabusa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Farley!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyabusa misses with a series of wild punches.
Hyabusa throws a series of punches but Farley moves out of range.
Farley gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hyabusa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Farley's head.
Hyabusa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Hyabusa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Farley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Farley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hyabusa counters with a stiff right hand.
Hyabusa throws a nice looking combination but Farley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Ryu Hyabusa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hyabusa connects with a single shot there.
Hyabusa tries to clinch up.
Hyabusa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hyabusa throws a right and a left that Farley avoids nicely.

Farley fails to land with a series of punches.
Hyabusa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Farley. Farley circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Farley is looking for a kimura but Hyabusa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Farley to get the leverage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hyabusa. Farley does a little dance to reset his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hyabusa wants to clinch
and Farley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Farley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Farley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Farley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Farley dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Farley throws a right and a left that Hyabusa avoids nicely.

and Farley counters with a shoot takedown. Hyabusa fights it but they end up in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hyabusa is squirming around, avoiding Farley's attempts to control the action.
Farley prevents Hyabusa from getting the reversal.

Farley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hyabusa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hyabusa shrugs it off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
BOOM! Farley connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Farley lands a big shot there that rocks Hyabusa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Farley quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Farley but it's paid off an Hyabusa is forced to tap! Nice work by Farley.
