Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hamtail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hamtail kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is hammer time. Joe Davis has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matt Hamtail's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hamtail shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hamtail takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hamtail has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Davis keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hamtail shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Davis's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.

Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamtail. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hamtail dives in and grabs Davis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes down on Hamtail's head and hops out.
Hamtail misses with a takedown attempt - Davis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davis throws the left hand but Hamtail avoids the punch easily.
Davis throws out a loose jab but Hamtail uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hamtail changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Hamtail manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
