The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic misses with a body kick.
Montillo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Filipovic lands a big head kick that sends Montillo tumbling to the mat! Filipovic takes a step backwards and waves Montillo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Montillo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Filipovic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Montillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Montillo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Filipovic defends well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Montillo can do anything to dispel that myth.
