The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mian misses with a wild body shot.

mian bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
van de Veen wants to control but mian postures up.
van de Veen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for mian on the ground.
mian wants to control but van de Veen is keeping him busy.
van de Veen is looking to regain half guard here but mian keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
