Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karel Gil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Harmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harmon has chosen Coming Undone as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Karel Gil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hulk Harmon!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harmon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Harmon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Harmon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gil gets the takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from Gil seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Gil has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harmon is looking to regain half guard here but Gil keeps moving and retains side control.
Gil slows the pace down.
Harmon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gil connects with a decent elbow.
Gil is staying tight to Harmon's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Gil has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gil is putting a hurting on Harmon here, landing some big shots from side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harmon is bucking up trying to escape but Gil cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
BOOM! Gil connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Harmon tries to hold on but Gil pushes him away.

Gil lands a nice shot to the head.

The referee warns Harmon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Gil is pressing down on Harmon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Harmon is holding on for now.
Gil works his way into full mount!
Harmon looks gassed!
Harmon wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Harmon wants to control but Gil is having none of it.
Gil takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Gil shoots in and bounces Harmon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Harmon wants to stand and escape but Gil is having none of it.

Harmon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gil stacks Harmon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gil!
Harmon is looking to regain half guard here but Gil keeps moving and retains side control.

Gil is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Harmon has escaped the position, nice work there.

Gil is looking to take a break and control but Harmon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gil scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Harmon to see if he's OK.

Gil stands up over Harmon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gil is bucking up trying to escape but Harmon cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Gil is squirming around, avoiding Harmon's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harmon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gil is looking to escape.

Harmon is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gil is surviving well by controlling Harmon's body position as best he can.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harmon tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Harmon avoids the attempt from Gil to control.
Gil is desperately trying to improve his position but Harmon has a good base and remains in mount.

Gil sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Harmon is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Gil looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Karel Gil will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Gil takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Harmon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harmon doesn't manage to clinch there - Gil circles away.
Gil fails to land with a series of punches.
Harmon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Gil scores a takedown into full mount!
Gil lands a big shot there that rocks Harmon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


Harmon is rocked!
Harmon is in a horrible position here. Gil smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Harmon is still in real trouble! Can Gil finish him?

Harmon manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Harmon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gil with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Harmon seems to have recovered his senses.
Harmon missing with punches from the bottom.
Gil content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Harmon is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Gil wants to free his trapped foot but Harmon is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gil works his foot free and advances to mount.

Gil seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Harmon for as long as he can get away with.

Karel Gil showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gil, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
