Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Magnuson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhani Ilves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnuson comes to the cage accompanied by Thus Spake Zarathustra. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ilves's choice of entrance music: Disco Duck. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilves misses with a head kick.
Ilves is looking to clinch.
Magnuson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ilves paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ilves wants to clinch up but Magnuson keeps it at a distance.

Magnuson forces Ilves back against the cage and clinches.
Ilves lands a hook to the side of the head.
Magnuson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Magnuson has clasped his hands together around Ilves's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Magnuson stands up and beckons Ilves to his feet.

Magnuson is fighting to break Ilves's control of his arms but Ilves is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ilves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Magnuson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Magnuson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Magnuson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ilves looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magnuson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ilves some visible discomfort.

Ilves takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ilves is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ilves is in a horrible position here. Magnuson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Ilves stuffs the takedown.
Magnuson misses with a takedown attempt - Ilves sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Magnuson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ilves has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Magnuson is looking to defend but Ilves has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Magnuson! Ilves pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Magnuson taps out and this one is all over!
