Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Rock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dale Sashidharan!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A combination from Sashidharan does no damage.
Rock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sashidharan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rock slips a jab and a cross from Sashidharan.
Sashidharan scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sashidharan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rock tries to clinch there but Sashidharan circles away.
A combination from Sashidharan does no damage.
Rock throws a right hand that Sashidharan ducks under and follows up with a left that Sashidharan also avoids with ease.
No luck for Rock with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rock closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sashidharan to the mat! Sashidharan manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sashidharan throws a series of punches but Rock moves out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sashidharan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rock tries to clinch but Sashidharan is having none of it.
Rock avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sashidharan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rock.

Rock moves into the clinch.
Rock looking for a takedown.
Rock tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sashidharan smiles and moves away.
Sashidharan stuffs the takedown.
Sashidharan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sashidharan pinned against the cage. Sashidharan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Rock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sashidharan throws a right hand that Rock ducks under and follows up with a left that Rock also avoids with ease.
Rock shoots for a double leg takedown but Sashidharan sprawls well. He's pushed Rock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sashidharan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Rock is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sashidharan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sashidharan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rock is working for a submission of some sort.

Rock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Sashidharan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rock working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sashidharan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rock shoots in looking for a takedown. Sashidharan tries to sprawl out of it but Rock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sashidharan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rock looking for a sweep. Not yet Rock, not yet.
Sashidharan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Rock will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sashidharan scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Dale Sashidharan seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rock has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rock changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sashidharan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sashidharan rolls, trying to escape but Rock keeps control of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rock throwing damaging strikes from the back! Sashidharan could be in trouble here!
Sashidharan wants to control his opponent's hands but Rock gets his hands free.
Rock misses with punches from the back.
Rock has Sashidharan flattened out and is raining down punches.

Rock is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Sashidharan controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
The referee is taking a good look at Sashidharan as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Rock!
Rock is not going to allow Sashidharan to sit and survive in this position.

I would just about give that final round to Dale Sashidharan.
I think Sashidharan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
