Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sisqo Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Stringer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stringer has chosen Cherokee - Europe as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stringer is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jackson trying to control but Stringer is having none of it.
Stringer is working to get back to half guard.
Stringer sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jackson is pressing down on Stringer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stringer is holding on for now.
Jackson wants to advance to full mount but Stringer doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stringer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Stringer's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stringer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jackson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jackson moves to back control.
Stringer is breathing heavily.
Jackson is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Jackson is looking to control Stringer but Stringer is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Jackson connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Stringer to escape the position.

Jackson lands punches and elbows.

Jackson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stringer has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stringer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jackson gets his way!
