Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolay Nechvidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scrooge McDuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDuck tries to clinch there but Nechvidov circles away.

Nechvidov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nechvidov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McDuck wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Nechvidov.

McDuck wants to control but Nechvidov is having none of it.

Nechvidov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDuck wants to stand and escape but Nechvidov is having none of it.

McDuck scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Nechvidov darts in and clinches McDuck up against the cage.
Nechvidov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McDuck goes for a takedown attempt but Nechvidov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nechvidov looks to land a body kick but McDuck moved away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Nechvidov counters with a nice double leg into side control. McDuck won't be happy with that.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nechvidov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McDuck pinned against the cage. McDuck gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McDuck tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Nechvidov counters by clinching up.
McDuck jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nechvidov walks away with a smile on his face. McDuck gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McDuck wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nechvidov manages to pass to side control.

Still in half guard, Nechvidov seems content to control.
McDuck tries to kick Nechvidov off in order to stand up. Nechvidov Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
McDuck tries to bench press Nechvidov off him but Nechvidov keeps the position.

McDuck has his takedown stuffed
and Nechvidov counters with a head kick. That will keep McDuck thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

McDuck tries to clinch but Nechvidov moves away

and Nechvidov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nechvidov.

McDuck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

McDuck gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nechvidov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nechvidov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

McDuck has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nechvidov regains guard immediately.

Nechvidov is trying to keep McDuck in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McDuck shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nechvidov is trying to force a seperation but McDuck has the dominant position.

Nechvidov is fighting off a takedown attempt but McDuck is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nechvidov to the mat. Nechvidov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Nechvidov is looking to stand up but McDuck isn't so interested in that idea.
McDuck wants to stand but Nechvidov is controlling his posture from full guard.
Nechvidov wants to get back to his feet but McDuck is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

McDuck rushes Nechvidov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McDuck wants a takedown.
McDuck just leaning against Nechvidov, taking a breather.
McDuck tries to pull guard but Nechvidov holds him up against the cage and eventually McDuck drops back down to his feet.

Nechvidov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nechvidov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nechvidov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDuck postures up and lands a big shot to Nechvidov's brow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nechvidov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nechvidov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
