Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Highes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Servata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Highes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Skynyrd's Simple Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Highes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Highes misses with a hook. Servata ducked under it nicely.
Servata bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Servata steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Highes.
Servata thuds his right hand into Highes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Highes throws a hook to the side of Servata's head but Servata sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Highes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Highes showed some decent athleticism there.
Highes misses with a head shot. Servata uses the momentum to regain guard.
Highes postures up in Servata's guard and throws a big left but Servata blocks it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Servata connects with a nice short shot to Highes's temple.

Servata changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Highes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Servata sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Highes's guard.
Servata maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Highes could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Servata has cracked it and Highes is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Servata!
