Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Batalha Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Umberto Eco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eco has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Eco creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Silva's defenses.
Eco prevents Silva from breaking the clinch.

Silva pulls guard successfully.
Eco in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet.
Eco slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Silva wants to stand up but Eco is controlling him.
Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Eco controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Eco's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Eco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Eco gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting.

Eco moves into the clinch.
Silva takes an elbow to the temple.
Eco scores with a knee to the head.
Eco prevents a takedown attempt there.

Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Eco is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.

Eco has Silva pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Silva is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Eco - that's hurt Silva badly! Oh, another knee lands and Silva is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Silva doesn't seem to be complaining.
