Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gao Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Acevedes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Acevedes has chosen Slayed as his entrance music. Marcus Acevedes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Acevedes!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Acevedes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Acevedes's waist but Acevedes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva fails with the takedown.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Acevedes tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Acevedes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva wants to clinch.

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Acevedes dives on top into guard.

Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Acevedes scores with a couple of nice shots.

Silva has a hand on Acevedes's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Acevedes takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Silva bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Acevedes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva!
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Acevedes's attempts to control the action.
Silva is looking to improve his position but Acevedes isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Acevedes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Acevedes wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
Acevedes is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silva can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Silva reaches up to try and control the position but Acevedes seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Silva rolls and tries to escape and now Acevedes has his back!

Despite being in the dominant position, Marcus Acevedes just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

I would just about give that final round to Marcus Acevedes.
Well Acevedes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
