Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sonny ChibaChiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kobayashi has chosen Seven Samurai as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ChibaChiba shoots in for a takedown but Kobayashi shows good takedown defense.
Kobayashi tries to close the distance and clinch up but ChibaChiba swats him away and circles back towards the center.
ChibaChiba lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kobayashi throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Horrible takedown by Kobayashi or perhaps it was just good defense by ChibaChiba which made him look bad.

Kobayashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with ChibaChiba but ChibaChiba pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sonny ChibaChiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiroshi Kobayashi.
Kobayashi misses with a takedown attempt - ChibaChiba sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
ChibaChiba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

ChibaChiba shoots in and bounces Kobayashi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kobayashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but ChibaChiba can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as ChibaChiba accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kobayashi tries to buck ChibaChiba off but ChibaChiba is having none of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. ChibaChiba connects with a nice short shot to Kobayashi's temple.

ChibaChiba is nestled in close to Kobayashi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

ChibaChiba bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kobayashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A punch combination from ChibaChiba misses.
Hiroshi Kobayashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kobayashi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but ChibaChiba was well out of range. Poor timing from Kobayashi.

Kobayashi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

ChibaChiba throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Kobayashi stumbling backwards into the cage! Kobayashi bounces back off the cage towards ChibaChiba, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! ChibaChiba lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! ChibaChiba celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
