PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svyatoslav Kudryavtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Duggan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tiesto- Escape Me. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kudryavtsev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kudryavtsev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kudryavtsev closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kudryavtsev lands in his opponent's guard.
Duggan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Duggan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kudryavtsev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Duggan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kudryavtsev has Duggan in his guard.
Kudryavtsev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duggan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kudryavtsev working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Duggan has passed into half guard!
Duggan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Duggan is trying to control. Kudryavtsev wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kudryavtsev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kudryavtsev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duggan pulls his head out easily.
Kudryavtsev looks gassed!
