The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lastman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lastman pushes Smith off looking to stand but Smith dives back in and keeps control.

Smith is taking a breather. Lastman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lastman is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Smith jumps into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lastman tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lastman leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Lastman drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Smith follows Lastman to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
