Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Langestroem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Langestroem has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Travis Cole's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langestroem shoots in but Cole avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cole tries to clinch there but Langestroem circles away.

Cole gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Langestroem to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cole is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Despite being in the dominant position, Marcus Langestroem just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cole is looking to escape.

Langestroem shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cole napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cole pushes Langestroem away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Langestroem gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Langestroem feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Langestroem seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
