The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Kilmers.
Kilmers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fernandez tries to keep at a distance but Kilmers has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kilmers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kilmers jumps guard and drags Fernandez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fernandez leaves Kilmers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kilmers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fernandez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fernandez is breathing heavily.
Kilmers drops Fernandez with a huge uppercut! Fernandez drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Kilmers is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
