Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Li Fong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bradley James!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fong lands a head kick. James smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Bradley James has been cut.
Nice body kick there by Fong.
James shoots in and drives through. Fong sprawls well.
Fong doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
Fong tries to clinch but James is having none of it.
James keeps the fight on the outside.
Fong swings for the body but James moves out of range.
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Fong.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fong scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Fong tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and James counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fong won't be happy with that.
Fong tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but James wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Fong on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fong tries to get out of the position.

James has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fong tries to clinch but James moves away
and James counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fong misses with a knee to the head.
Fong tries a knee to the head but James blocks it.
Fong connects with a nasty looking knee right to James's face.

James goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

James breaks the clinch.
James throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fong closes the distance looking to clinch

and James counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fong's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fong wants to sweep but no luck.
Fong keeping full guard, as James tries to pass.
James slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fong's guard.

Fong on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
James is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fong!
James throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Fong defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from James.
Fong tries to hold on but James postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bradley James will probably get the nod.

That's time! Fong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and James counters by clinching up.
James wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fong has him pressed against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

James jumps into guard, dragging Fong to the mat.
Fong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground.
James throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fong tries to stand but James is controlling from the bottom.
James is breathing heavily.

James kicks Fong off and gets to his feet.

Fong closes the distance and clinches.
Fong using the Thai plumb to throw knees but James has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fong with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
James dodges an elbow strike from Fong.
Fong throws an elbow but it's blocked.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Fong stalling in the clinch but James improves position.
Fong looking to throw knees to the head but James is blocking nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fong pushes off an throws an elbow but James leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
James takes an elbow to the forehead.
James tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
James blocks a punch to the side of the head.
James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fong smiles and moves away.
James tries for a takedown but Fong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Li Fong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bradley James.

and James counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fong's guard now.
James postures up.
Fong looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Fong controls James momentarily but James frees himself.

Fong pulls James in to control the position.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Fong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bradley James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Fong tries a knee to the head but James blocks it.

Fong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James.
James fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fong tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and James counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fong!
James thowing shots but they're missing.
James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fong can't escape the position.

James throwing strikes here but Fong is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Fong tries to control the position but James now has his back.

Fong is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

and James counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fong is refusing to be controlled, as James sits in half guard.
James tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Fong is controlling James's position as best he can from this difficult position.

James passes to side control.
James tries to advance to mount but can't.
The strikes coming from James are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James takes a little break here. Fong wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Fong struggling a bit here.
Fong is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
James working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
James advances nicely into full mount.
Fong tries to reverse the position but James maintains control.
James throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

James goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Fong turns into him and now he's in James's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bradley James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got James winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
