The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Rivera does it's job there.
Rivera throws a leg kick but Palo checks it.

Palo wants to clinch up but Rivera keeps it at a distance.
Rivera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Some bone on bone action there as Palo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Palo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Palo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Palo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

The fight stays on the outside here - Palo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oh Palo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rivera buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rivera connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Palo tumbling to the canvas! Rivera pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Palo was done - good stoppage!
