The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama slips under a jab from Anoy.
Anoy throws a push kick but Obama slaps the foot to one side.
Anoy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Obama was well out of range. Poor timing from Anoy.
Anoy throws a jab but it's blocked by Obama.
Anoy dives in and grabs Obama's left leg, looking for a takedown. Obama pushes down on Anoy's head and hops out.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Anoy creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Obama pushes Anoy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Anoy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Obama up against the cage.

Anoy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Obama manages to get himself to full guard.

Anoy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Obama kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Anoy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Obama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Obama throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Obama tries to clinch there but Anoy circles away.

Obama connects with a good right hand that stumbles Anoy. Anoy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Anoy pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Obama lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anoy backs up against the cage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Obama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ayo Anoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Obama has Anoy up against the cage in a clinch.

Anoy tries to work over Obama's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Obama manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anoy manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anoy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Obama stacks Anoy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Obama!

Anoy seems to have recovered his senses.
Obama wants to stand but Anoy is controlling his arm.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Anoy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Obama counters with a straight right hand.
George Obama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Obama cracks Anoy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Anoy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Anoy shoots in but no luck this time.
Anoy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Obama.

Anoy cracks Obama with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Obama makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Obama fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Anoy on the side of the head.

and Obama scores with a counter punch that sends Anoy to the canvas! Obama smells blood - he's punishing Anoy with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Anoy has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
