Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stafford Alois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alois might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Promised Land. Will Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stafford Alois!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Will Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alois moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A big left from Jackson misses.
Jackson lands with a straight right. Alois didn't see that one coming.
Alois throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Alois on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Alois tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jackson misses with the combination.
Alois misses with a straight left.
Alois wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Alois, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stafford Alois seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.

Alois moves into range and clinches up with Jackson.
Jackson lands a shoulder strike.

Alois is trying to trip Jackson. He has hold of a leg but Jackson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Alois persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Will Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Alois feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Alois changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Alois manages to pass to side control.

Alois perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Alois wants to stand up but Jackson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Jackson tries to roll over but Alois keeps him under control.
Alois thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Alois ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Alois jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jackson thows a body shot but no joy.

Alois goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alois was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson.
Alois closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson wants to get back to full guard but Alois has passed into side control.

Alois looking to control but Jackson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jackson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Alois.
Alois lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Jackson is in a horrible position here. Alois smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alois avoids the attempt from Jackson to control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stafford Alois dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Alois shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Jackson counters with a three punch combo that has Alois backing up. Alois nods at Jackson to acknowledge the strikes.
Jackson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Alois walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Alois is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Alois counters with a leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Danga de danga de dang - Jackson scores with a four punch combination!
A punch lands to the side of Alois 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jackson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alois in his tracks.
Alois shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stafford Alois. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alois seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Jackson shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Alois is backing up but Jackson catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Alois covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Jackson Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Will Jackson!
