Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Traktor Chain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Spat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Traktor Chain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Spat!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Spat keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chain.
Chain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chain slips a jab from Spat.
An inside leg kick lands from Spat.

Chain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Spat to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Spat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Spat counters with a big head kick but Chain shrugs it off.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Spat counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Chain is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Chain is looking to clinch but Spat is avoiding it.
Chain doesn't manage to clinch there - Spat circles away.

Chain shoots in and bounces Spat off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chain!

Spat swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Chain is now in Spat's guard. A big mistake from Spat there, giving up the dominant position!

Chain gets to his feet. Spat looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Spat counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Spat.

Chain pushes Spat off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chain is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Spat working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Spat tries to move to mount but Chain blocks the move with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chain wants to clinch up but Spat keeps it at a distance.
Chain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chain somewhat.

Chain wants to get up but he can't break Spat's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Chain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spat on the ground.

Chain looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Spat with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It looks like Chain is going to stand back up.

Chain lands a couple of elbows.
Chain with a nice head shot there.
Chain makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Chain with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Traktor Chain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Spat is looking for a triangle but Chain pushes his legs off easily.

Chain stands and steps away. Spat gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Chain - that will leave a mark!
Spat has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chain finds it's way round the side to connect with Spat's head.

Chain is refusing to be controlled, as Spat sits in half guard.

Spat is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chain sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Spat has his foot on Chain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chain works his way back into a safe position though.

Traktor Chain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chain.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
