PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Crappler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quik Yin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Got A Feeling (lol :P). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Crappler!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quik Yin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crappler loads up on a big right hand but Yin slips the punch.
Yin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Crappler throws a leg kick but Yin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Yin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crappler can pounce on him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yin.

Crappler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yin is trying to defend but Crappler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Crappler uses his free foot to push down on Yin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yin.

Yin tries to lock up and control but Crappler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Yin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Crappler is pushing down on Yin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yin is fighting to maintain full guard but Crappler has managed to sneak the leg through.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Yin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Crappler's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Yin is adopting a defensive guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crappler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Crappler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yin looks gassed!

Crappler postures up in Yin's guard and throws a big left but Yin blocks it.
Crappler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Crappler is trying to control the action in half guard but Yin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Yin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Crappler counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Crappler wants to control from the top but Yin keeps moving.
Yin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crappler is one step ahead there.

Crappler drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Crappler has Yin in his guard.
Yin is pushing down on Crappler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crappler is fighting to maintain full guard but Yin has managed to sneak the leg through.

Yin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Crappler knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Yin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Yin there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Yin pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Yin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Crappler is now in Yin's guard. A big mistake from Yin there, giving up the dominant position!

Yin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Yin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crappler is one step ahead there.
Crappler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crappler's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Yin misses with a straight right.

Yin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Yin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Crappler is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Crappler and Yin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Yin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crappler has escaped the position, nice work there.
Yin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Crappler!
Yin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Crappler holds on for dear life.
Yin takes Crappler's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Crappler is in trouble.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Crappler tries to escape but Yin has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crappler misses with a two punch combination.
Yin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Yin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Crappler leaves Yin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

King Crappler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quik Yin.

Yin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Crappler kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Yin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Yin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Crappler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well Crappler has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
