Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyke Mison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Fatts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatts has chosen Hit Em Up by Tupac as his entrance music. The key to victory for Tyke Mison has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatts shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mison as he avoids it easily.
Fatts is looking to clinch.
Fatts tries to clinch there but Mison circles away.
Fatts blocks a head kick by Mison.
Fatts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fatts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mison as he jumps to the side.
Tyke Mison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Fatts.

Fatts takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Fatts closes the distance and clinches up with Mison, looking for a takedown. Fatts pushes Mison against the cage but Mison circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mison fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fatts manages to avoid it.

Fatts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mison looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mison tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fatts wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fatts makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fatts accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mison looking for a guillotine here but Fatts defends easily.
Fatts is working Mison over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mison isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fatts stacks Mison on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fatts!

Fatts is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mison knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mison takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Mison parries the strikes from Fatts easily there. Fatts is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mison to escape.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fatts connects with a nice short shot to Mison's temple.
Fatts lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Fatts looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fatts thows a huge punch but Mison dodges it nicely.
Mison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fatts looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mison with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fatts prevents Mison from improving his position.
Fatts is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Mison regains half guard.
