The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vilonainen shoots in but no luck this time.
Vilonainen fails with the takedown.
Vilonainen shoots for a takedown but Town saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timo Vilonainen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vilonainen is looking to land body kicks.

Town changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vilonainen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Vilonainen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Town wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vilonainen, who protects the arm well.

Town tries to land a front kick but Vilonainen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Town shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Town showed some decent athleticism there.
Town is trying to control the action in half guard but Vilonainen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Town tries to lock up and control but Vilonainen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Vilonainen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Town is looking to escape.
Vilonainen unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Town wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Vilonainen celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
