Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mecos ducks under a wild hook from Aliaha.
The fighters circling - Mecos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mecos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aliaha sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A cross from Aliaha lands.
Aliaha cracks Mecos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Aliaha stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Aliaha throws a hook to the side of Mecos's head but Mecos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Aliaha throws a head kick but Mecos moves out of range.
Ehm Aliaha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mecos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aliaha throws out the jab.

Aliaha throws a looping overhand right but Mecos ducks down to avoid it.
Aliaha is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mecos had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aliaha tries a head kick but it misses.

Mecos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aliaha to the mat! Aliaha manages to get full guard.
Mecos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mecos is breathing heavily.
Mecos thows a big elbow that misses.
Mecos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mecos gets to his feet. Aliaha looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Aliaha stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aliaha wants it to stay on the feet.

Aliaha is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mecos.

Mecos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Aliaha is trying to stand up here but Mecos is controlling him well.
Mecos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aliaha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Aliaha gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aliaha is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Aliaha is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mecos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aliaha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mecos has managed to get both his arms back between Aliaha's legs - danger averted.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aliaha is adopting a defensive guard.

Mecos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Aliaha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mecos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mecos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Aliaha wants to stand up but Mecos is controlling him.

Aliaha escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mecos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aliaha is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mecos defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ehm Aliaha dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mecos tries to clinch up but Aliaha circles away and keeps his distance.

Mecos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aliaha napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mecos is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Aliaha is looking to improve his position but Mecos isn't that keen on the idea.

Aliaha is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mecos is trying to escape and Aliaha transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mecos is forced to tap! Nice work there by Aliaha! Very nice indeed!
