PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Conlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jebidiah Dark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conlin comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem The Way I Am. Dark comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Stranger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dark is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Conlin.

Conlin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dark was covering up waiting for the punch and Conlin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Conlin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dark looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dark looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dark!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conlin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Dark stands up.
Conlin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dark finds it's way round the side to connect with Conlin's head.
Dark fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Conlin on the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conlin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dark.
Dark throws a jab when Conlin was well out of range.

Conlin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Conlin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dark walks away with a smile on his face. Conlin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Conlin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dark lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Conlin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dark lands a left and a right that send Conlin crashing to the mat, dazed. Dark thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Dark drops Conlin with a beautiful combination! Conlin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dark is looking for the KO!
Oh Conlin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Conlin leaves his chin hanging out and Dark seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Conlin crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
