Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Vinicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Mosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Vinicius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mosa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vinicius circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vinicius decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mosa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vinicius escapes and gets back to his feet.

Vinicius is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mosa has hold of Vinicius's hands but Vinicius slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Vinicius looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mosa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mosa wants to get back to full guard.
Vinicius takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Vinicius prevents Mosa from standing back up.
Vinicius is looking for a kimura but Mosa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vinicius to get the leverage.
Mosa is trying to stand up here but Vinicius is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mosa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vinicius is controlling the pace.
Vinicius throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mosa wants to control but Vinicius is keeping busy.
Vinicius decides to stand and escape the position.

so Vinicius counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vinicius slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Vinicius decides to stand back up.
Vinicius blocks a head kick by Mosa.
Vinicius closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vinicius lands in his opponent's guard.
Vinicius stays in close to Mosa's body and controls the position.
Vinicius wants to control from the top but Mosa keeps moving.

Mosa wants to sweep here but Vinicius controlling him for the moment.
Vinicius decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mosa, up you get!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vinicius gets a takedown into half guard.
Vinicius tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mosa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mosa tries to clinch up
and Vinicius counters with a takedown into side control.
Mosa is looking for a sweep.
Vinicius takes a little break here. Mosa wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Luiz Vinicius overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vinicius stands up and beckons Mosa to his feet.

Vinicius moves out of range as Mosa throws a body kick.

Vinicius tries to clinch but Mosa is having none of it.
Vinicius feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mosa is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Vinicius is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mosa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mosa has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mosa stops Vinicius from getting back to his feet.

Vinicius is looking to control Mosa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vinicius avoid being mounted?
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mosa leaves Vinicius with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Luiz Vinicius is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mosa tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vinicius counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vinicius is stalling in the full guard.
Mosa manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Vinicius shoots in for a double leg but Mosa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Vinicius counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mosa is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mosa keeping moving, preventing Vinicius from controlling successfully.

Mosa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vinicius is controlling him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Vinicius tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mosa swivels and escapes.

and Vinicius decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mosa's guard.
Mosa has a closed guard, preventing Vinicius from standing up.
Mosa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Vinicius stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Mosa to get to his feet.
Mosa shoots in and drives through. Vinicius sprawls well.
Luiz Vinicius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Mosa.
Mosa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vinicius circles away quickly and effectively.
Vinicius darts in and clinches Mosa up against the cage.
Vinicius works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vinicius slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mosa is trying to keep Vinicius in close.
Vinicius got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mosa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vinicius has managed to get both his arms back between Mosa's legs - danger averted.
Mosa wants to control but Vinicius passes easily into half guard.
Vinicius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mosa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vinicius.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vinicius wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mosa keeps working.
Mosa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vinicius drops an elbow to the side of Mosa's head.
Alexander Mosa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Luiz Vinicius is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mosa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vinicius pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vinicius, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
