Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sato Mikoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masahiko Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikoto comes to the cage accompanied by Traditional Samurai Song. Sato Mikoto has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mikoto is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mikoto misses with a series of wild punches.

Yi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mikoto!
Mikoto keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mikoto looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Yi punches the canvas rather than the man.

It looks like Sato Mikoto has been cut.
Mikoto is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Yi tries to get the hooks in deep but Mikoto pushed the leg off.

Yi is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mikoto knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mikoto for a finish.

Yi is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mikoto has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mikoto breaks Yi's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mikoto will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mikoto tries for a takedown but Yi circles away easily

and Yi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mikoto's guard.
Yi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mikoto has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Yi doesn't defend quickly enough and Mikoto has managed to lock this one up! Can Yi escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mikoto on a fantastic submission victory.
